Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP)
The Project Management Professional (PMP)® is the world’s leading project management certification. In 2026, it remains the "gold standard" for professionals, reflecting the latest industry shifts toward Agile, Hybrid, and AI-driven methodologies.

The PMP training program is designed to align with the PMBOK® Guide (8th Edition) and the PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO). It covers the essential pillars of modern project management:
Â
- People: Leading teams, managing conflict, and supporting virtual environments.
- Process: Mastering project methodologies (Predictive, Agile, and Hybrid).
- Business Environment: Aligning projects with organizational strategy and compliance.
To qualify for the PMP exam, you must meet one of the following two tracks:
Education Background | Project Leadership Experience | Education Requirement |
Four-Year University Degree | 36 months (3 years) of unique experience | 35 contact hours of PM education* |
High School / Associate Degree | 60 months (5 years) of unique experience | 35 contact hours of PM education* |
*Note: Holding an active CAPM® certification automatically satisfies the 35-hour education requirement.
The 2026 PMP curriculum is divided into three functional domains that mirror the actual work of a Project Manager:
Â
- People (42%): Focuses on “soft skills” like emotional intelligence, servant leadership, and team motivation.
- Process (50%): Technical aspects including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and procurement.
- Business Environment (8%): Delivering value, supporting change, and organizational governance.
This training is intended for mid-to-senior level professionals who lead and direct projects, including:
- Project Managers, Program Managers, and Portfolio Managers.
- Team Leads and Project Coordinators.
- Consultants and Senior Individual Contributors.
- Engineers and IT Professionals moving into management roles.
- Credential Earned: Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
- Validity: The certification is valid for 3 years.
Â
- Maintenance: To keep your PMP active, you must earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every three-year cycle, following the “8-8-8 rule” (8 PDUs each in Ways of Working, Power Skills, and Business Acumen).
Fees are globally standardized but may vary slightly by region due to local taxes.

Q: How many questions are on the PMP exam?
A: There are 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes. The format includes multiple-choice, matching, hotspot, and fill-in-the-blank.
Â
Q: Can I take the exam from home?
A: Yes, PMI offers Online Proctored Testing (OPT), allowing you to take the exam from your home or office, provided you meet specific system and room requirements.
Q: What is the passing score for the PMP?
A: PMI does not release a specific percentage. Instead, you are graded against a “Minimum Level of Proficiency” in each domain (Above Target, Target, Below Target, or Needs Improvement).
Â
Q: Do my “experience months” have to be consecutive?
A: No, but they must be non-overlapping. If you managed two projects simultaneously for 6 months, it only counts as 6 months of experience toward your goal.
